Optech4D To Develop 3D Safety Training Simulators For Offshore Operations

HOUSTON, TX - September 16, 2015 

A Global Fortune 50 Oil and Gas Company has awarded Optech4D Inc with two 3D simulation projects related to offshore operations.   

As an operator of offshore facilities, the company has a need for effective and innovative training technologies for personnel and equipment safety in offshore activities. Optech4D will be building two interactive 3D simulators to address this need, centered on familiarization of and safety training around critical equipment and procedures.   

In contrast to conventional tools, virtual simulators provide an environment where users can effectively learn by doing: making mistakes, receiving feedback, experiencing consequences, and learning lessons, all without leaving the safety of a classroom or the office desk. In this way, they can overcome many of the limitations of and logistical challenges to effective training. They are undoubtedly the training tool of the future.
